I had a wonderful stay, and the hosts were incredibly welcoming, providing lovely touches like tea and biscuits that made me feel at home while I enjoyed the peaceful strolls around the beautiful Priorslee Lake nearby, which is just a 30-minute walk away.

the anvil lodge is a lovely place. our superior double room was spacious with a super comfy bed. the breakfast was freshly cooked, with unlimited toast and tea. plus, it's just a short walk to the main street and a real ale pub next door. awesome stay!
